Accepted friends automatically see your upcoming and active journeys. Signing out alone leaves already shared trips visible until they expire. To stop access, remove a friend, remove the saved journey while online, or delete your Friends account.
2. Delete your Friends account
- Open Settings → Friends account in the app.
- Choose Delete Friends account.
- Review the explanation and confirm Delete account and sharing data.
This removes your account profile, friend connections, shared trips and related access records from the active service. Your local journal and arrival alarm stay on your iPhone. Calendar events and original booking files are separate copies and are not deleted by this action. Deleting the app alone does not send an account-deletion request.
There can be a limited period for technical cleanup: an encrypted Apple token may remain for revocation retries for up to 30 days, and hosting-provider recovery copies follow their own backup retention periods. See the retention section.
Deleting an account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Manage an active subscription separately in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
3. Device permissions & screen previews
- Arrival alarms: stop the active alarm in the app when you no longer want it. Manage location access, Precise Location and alarm permissions in iPhone Settings.
- Train notifications: change the monitored train’s alert preferences and the app’s notification permissions.
- Home Screen & Lock Screen: remove a widget or stop a Live Activity, and review notification previews and Lock Screen access in iPhone Settings.
Changing device permissions can stop the corresponding feature working. It does not automatically delete the Friends account or revoke a friend’s server access. The train’s last reported station is railway data; disabling phone location does not hide a journey from an accepted friend.
3A. Calendar, imports & weather reminders
Pause Calendar sync & remove copies
Turn Pro Calendar sync off in the app, or withdraw Calendar permission in iPhone Settings. Existing events remain. To remove retained copies, edit or delete entries in the dedicated Train Track & Alarm calendar using Calendar or your calendar account provider. Past and completed events are not automatically cleared. Deleting Friends or the app does not independently remove them.
Control imports
Choose source calendars and tap to scan when you want to import. Review and select the journeys you want to save; cancel the review to leave candidates unsaved. Booking text and selected files are processed on your iPhone. Once you confirm an imported journey, its normal Friends sharing and optional Calendar-sync rules apply. Remove it from Journeys while online to remove its shared version. Manage the original booking document or source calendar event separately.
Weather notifications
In Settings → Destination weather, turn off advice when saving a train or the 20-minute arrival reminder. You can also change notification permissions in iPhone Settings. These controls are separate from your GPS arrival alarm. The app uses destination station coordinates for weather; it does not need your current phone location for this feature.
4. Local journeys, routes & backups
Remove saved journal entries or GPS routes from their lists in the app. Local notes, completed journal history and recorded GPS routes are not removed by deleting a Friends account.
Copies you have exported, sent to someone, or saved in Apple or computer backups are separate. Manage them through the relevant device or backup service. Friends sign-in does not act as a backup of your complete travel journal.
5. If you cannot access the app
Email really@dilligaf.fyi and say the request concerns Train Track & Alarm. Tell us whether you want account deletion, access to information, a correction, or help stopping sharing. You do not have to use a special form.
We may need to verify ownership before changing or releasing account information. Do not email an Apple password, authentication code or secret token. We will explain a suitable verification step if needed.
